Most people develop one or more warts at some time in their lives, usually (but not always) before the age of 20. About one in 10 people in the UK have warts at any one time. Almost as many as one in three children or young people may have warts. Nearly all warts are harmless, however some verrucas (warts on the sold of the feet) can be painful if they press on a sensitive part of the foot. When warts appear on conspicuous places such as the hands or face, most people will do anything they can to get rid of them.

Conventional treatments offer to freeze, burn, or poison the wart. This can cause scarring and there is also the risk that the wart will simply regrow. There is also the option to wait as 65% of warts disappear by themselves in time. However, for those who would like some help at hurrying them along homeopathy can help while also treating any other symptoms simultaneously.

Treating warts and verrucas homoeopathically deals with the underlying weakness or susceptibility that the person has to allow the wart/s to grow in the first place. This means in homeopathy we are not just trying to eliminate the current wart/s; we are treating you or your child's susceptibility to warts as well so that not only will we get rid of existing wart/s, you will also be less likely to have them in the future. 

 

An initial consultation takes up to 1.5 hrs. This allows time for me to find out more about you as a person. As well as asking questions about your wart/s, I will ask you about any other symptoms you might have.

I will ask you or your child what you like and dislike and what other symptoms are bothering you at the moment (on a physical, mental and emotional level). Homeopathic remedies are usually given in tablets or tiny pills which dissolve under the tongue.

In one study, 90% of patients with various types of warts saw their warts disappear within six months when remedies that used their individual symptoms were used (Gupta, Bhardwaj, and Manchanda, 1991).
